Chimney Flashing Repair in Queens & Long Island
Flashing is the metal that seals the joint where the chimney meets the roof. When it lifts, rusts or the sealant fails, water runs straight into walls and ceilings — we repair or replace it with step and counter flashing.
What is chimney flashing repair?
Flashing is the metal seal where the chimney passes through the roof. Done properly, it's two layers: step flashing woven into the shingles and counter flashing set into the chimney's mortar joints.
Many chimneys have flashing that's just bent metal held on with tar or caulk. That works for a while, then lets water straight into the wall and ceiling below.

Warning signs
- Leaks that appear during rain, especially wind-driven rain
