Level 2 Chimney Inspection in Queens & Long Island

A Level 2 inspection adds a video camera scan of the full flue plus access to attics and crawl spaces. It's the level the NFPA 211 standard calls for when a home is sold, after a chimney fire or storm, or when you change fuel or appliance.

What is level 2 chimney inspection?

A Level 2 inspection includes everything in a Level 1 plus a video camera scan of the entire flue and inspection of accessible attics, crawl spaces and basements around the chimney. It's the level the NFPA 211 standard recommends when the system's condition has to be confirmed rather than assumed.

Common triggers are a home sale or purchase, a known or suspected chimney fire, storm or seismic events, and changes to the system such as switching from oil to gas, adding an insert or replacing a boiler.
